A World of My Own

The world is a crazy place.

Mistakes, regret, failures, sorrow, rage, fear,

Wins, joy, laughter, love

We’re all going to live it.

The choices we make are going to push and pull us.

Sometimes for good

Am I the only one that when I see the comments “there are two kinds of people” I think of the song from Sweeny Todd

They all deserve to die.
Tell you why, Mrs. Lovett, tell you why.

I’m usually asleep till sometime between noon and 2pm

but alas I had to be up at 9am -_-

It was worth it though. I had to take my mom’s 15lbs main coon cat Petey to the vet. He somehow got his claw stuck deep in his pad. poor boy

He’s all better now though

my thoughts and prayers go out to the families in Connecticut. I can’t imagine what could make a person hurt and kill so many innocent people. 

Guns and gun violence is such a hard topic. We have the right to bear arms and we should have the right to protect ourselves. But guns should be kept away from children. That should be final. But I know that after this tragic incident some people will say that if someone at the school had a gun then there wouldn’t be as many or any people injured. That argument terrifies me.

Unless you are in that life or death situation, you do not know if you can pull the trigger or not. You just don’t know. Having a gun doesn’t mean that you would have been the hero to save all those people. There are plenty of people who have guns that just can’t use them. It’s too easy to manipulate those people and take their guns/use them against them. 

Another thing that scares me is that if we allow more people, especially around schools to carry guns i feel that we may experience more violence. Just from my own experience I know that school is one of the most stressful places I’ve been, and guns should never be mixed in that equation. I feel that the last thing we need is easy gun access to people who are overworked and stressed (students and teachers). 

This is why this problem is so difficult. I don’t see an easy solution coming from anywhere. Obviously people who commit these crimes need serious mental help. I just pray that we can get these people the medical attention they need before anyone is hurt.
